    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler – Automotive Assembly

    **Location:** Summerville, SC | **Type:** Contract-to-Hire

     

    We’re currently looking for **experienced mechanical assemblers** to join our team at a leading manufacturer in Summerville. If you're skilled with hand and power tools and passionate about automotive assembly, this is a strong long-term opportunity with growth, bonuses, and a great work environment.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    + **Assemble forklifts, pallet trucks, and masts** using blueprints, schematics, or verbal instructions

    + Operate an **overhead crane** to move equipment

    + Perform **functional tests and inspections** to ensure product quality

    + **Assemble sub-assemblies, wiring harnesses** , and various parts of forklifts

    + Maintain a **clean and organized workstation**

    Must-Have Skills & Experience

    + Solid mechanical assembly background

    + Skilled with **hand and power tools** (tool assessment required)

    + Ability to **read and work from blueprints/schematics**

    + **Experience in assembly line or production environments**

    + **Strong attention to detail and teamwork**

    + **Able to stand for entire shifts** and lift up to **50 lbs**

    + **Flexibility** to work OT on short notice

    Preferred Experience

    + Automotive or truck mechanic experience

    + Proficient computer skills

    + Experience with mechanical testing or wiring harnesses

    Shift Schedule

    + **First Shift:** Mon–Thurs 6:00am–4:30pm | OT Fri & Sat 6:00am–2:30pm

    + **Second Shift:** Mon–Thurs 2:00pm–12:30am | No OT

    + Must be open to **flexible hours and overtime**

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
