    Position Title: CDL A Driver

     

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

     

    Start Time: 6:00 AM (Clock-in) | 6:30 AM (Departure from Shop)

     

    Service Area: Primarily between Pueblo and Lone Tree, with occasional assignments in Fairplay, Rocky Ford, and surrounding regions

    Position Summary

    We are a well-established and growing construction and hauling company seeking a qualified and dependable CDL A Driver with demonstrated expertise in heavy haul and side dump operations. This position is ideal for a professional driver who values consistency, safety, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a team-oriented environment.

     

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of heavy equipment and construction materials to various job sites. This role also requires flexibility to assist with general labor tasks when driving is not feasible due to weather or project conditions.

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Safely load, secure, and transport heavy equipment using lowboy trailers in accordance with DOT regulations

    + Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including:

    + Semi-trucks

    + Bobtail trucks

    + Water trucks

    + Dump trucks (including side dumps)

    + Deliver equipment and materials to job sites across Colorado, ensuring punctuality and safety

    + Assist with unloading and setup at job sites as needed

    + Perform general labor duties during equipment downtime or inclement weather

    + Maintain accurate driving logs and ensure full compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards

    + Represent the company with professionalism and a strong commitment to teamwork

    Required Qualifications

    + Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

    + 3–5 years of recent experience operating Class A vehicles, preferably in construction or heavy equipment transport

    + Proven proficiency in:

    + Heavy haul operations

    + Side dump operations (transporting dirt, aggregates, and similar materials)

    + Loading and securing equipment on lowboy trailers

    + Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance

    + Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to changing site conditions

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience operating construction equipment

    + Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn basic truck and trailer maintenance

    + Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
