    Job Title: 3rd Shift Fabricator

    Job Description

    As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for building and welding structural steel products, such as columns, beams, and stairs, according to blueprint specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Review and ensure the quality of your work.

    + Prepare stairs or handles for installation upon arrival at the job site.

    + Cut, size, shape, bend, and tack materials into place before welding.

    + Perform MIG and structural welding tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of MIG welding experience.

    + Ability to read and build from structural blueprints.

    + Proficiency in using a tape measure accurately.

    + Capability to pass written Weld and Blueprint Tests.

    + Experience in structural welding and fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Union welding experience is preferred.

    + AWS certification is advantageous.

    + AISC Manufacturing experience is beneficial.

    + Ability to weld with Flux and MIG, especially uphill welding.

    Work Environment

     

    This fully on-site position is located in Carlisle, Iowa, on a 3rd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6pm-6am. The work environment is a fabrication shop, which can be dirty, and requires PPE such as jeans, a work-appropriate shirt, steel-toed boots, a weld helmet, and safety glasses. The team consists of 15-20 people, with plans to expand to a larger location in Des Moines or Carlisle.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
