Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Worker, where you will play a critical role in our logistics operations. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role requires efficiency and precision, as you will have a two-hour lead time on materials needed for the production floor and high production goals to meet each hour.

Responsibilities

+ Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment for 50% of the workday.

+ Engage in material handling by hand, walking, and cleaning for the remaining 50% of the workday.

+ Utilize warehouse management systems and work within a distribution environment.

+ Perform packaging, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping and receiving tasks.

+ Conduct quality control checks and maintain production metrics and standards.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 3 years of forklift operation experience.

+ Experience with stand-up forklifts and electric-powered equipment.

+ Forklift certifications verified through references.

+ Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

+ Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted and perform repetitive tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in distribution with some mobile equipment use.

+ Familiarity with stand-up reach trucks, rider pallet jacks, and cycle counts.

+ Understanding of order entry, order processing, and warehouse shipping.

Work Environment

Our facility in Colonial Heights is state-of-the-art, clean, and climate-controlled, providing an ideal work environment. With packaging operations, a warehouse, and a training center, the facility offers modern amenities including a canteen and locker room. The work schedule follows a 3,2,2,3 pattern to support our 24/7 operations. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols, including storing personal items in lockers and maintaining a professional demeanor on the production floor. The warehouse aisles are compact, requiring careful navigation and adherence to safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colonial Heights, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.91 - $23.91/hr.
