CNC Machinist in Murfreesboro, TN 37129

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for reading part prints and job orders to determine all product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements. You will also need to understand the number of parts to be machined and follow tooling instructions, such as cutting speeds, feed rates, depth of cuts, and the selection of cutting tools.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret part prints and job orders for product specifications.

+ Determine dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements.

+ Understand tooling instructions including cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts.

+ Select and adjust cutting tools as necessary.

+ Operate CNC machines such as CNC Turning, Lathe, and Mill.

+ Perform programming and tool changes on machines.

+ Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure quality and process control.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with CNC Machining and CNC Programming.

+ Proficiency in operating 5 Axis Machinery.

+ Ability to set up and perform changeovers.

+ Familiarity with blueprint reading and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Haas machines and tool adjustment.

+ Knowledge of quality and process control methodologies.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 2nd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, with some Friday overtime. The facility is located in Murfreesboro, TN, and offers a climate-controlled, clean, and quiet setting. Personal Protective Equipment required includes steel-toed boots and eye protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $66560.00/yr.
