Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator
Job Description
The CNC Programmer and Operator is responsible for writing and optimizing CNC programs, maintaining and troubleshooting automated machine operations, managing new project onboarding, and continuously improving machining processes. This role requires a strong knowledge of tooling, setup procedures, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
Responsibilities
+ Write and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations.
+ Maintain day-to-day operations of automated production CNC machine cells.
+ Troubleshoot tools that are cutting improperly and make necessary changes to correct the root cause prior to tool failure.
+ Set up, run, and inspect parts throughout the shift while troubleshooting common manufacturing issues.
+ Operate and maintain CNC machine cells, primarily working with Makino and DMG machines.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to write and optimize CNC programs.
+ Proficiency in operating and maintaining CNC machine cells.
+ Familiarity with machine tooling and setup procedures.
+ Skills in diagnosing and resolving machine alarms and operational issues.
+ Fluency in blueprint reading, quality checks, and use of calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Attention to detail for precision in programming and setup.
+ Responsibility and reliability to manage day-to-day operations independently.
+ Experience in inspection and quality control with tools such as micrometers and understanding of G&M codes.

Work Environment
Work in a world-class CNC machining operation with state-of-the-art equipment. The facility is clean and modern, promoting a professional and efficient workspace. The shifts include 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm), and 3rd shift (Monday - Friday, 10:00pm - 6:30am). The environment is learning-focused and team-oriented, with a collaborative atmosphere where coworkers are helpful and willing to share knowledge.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of UNION, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
