    Job Description

    As a Vacuum Cadmium Operator, you will be responsible for inspecting, preparing surfaces, and operating vacuum cadmium chambers to ensure the highest quality standards are met. You will maintain cleanliness and organization within the department, perform maintenance, and communicate effectively with production and quality teams.

    Primary Responsibilities

    **1) Operating Vacuum Chambers** :

    + Load items (metal, glass, or plastic) onto racks.

    + Place cadmium or other coating metals onto heating filaments.

    + Insert racks into vacuum chambers and seal them.

    **2) Creating a Vacuum Environment** :

    + Use pumps to evacuate air from the chamber.

    + Monitor gauges to ensure the correct vacuum level is achieved.

    **3) Metal Deposition** :

    + Heat filaments to vaporize cadmium, which then deposits as a thin film on the objects.

    + Control timing and temperature to ensure uniform coating.

    **4) Post-Processing** :

    + Vent the chamber and remove coated items.

    + Inspect for quality and consistency.

    + Clean and maintain equipment

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
