Job Title: Roller/Header Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Roller/Header Operators to join our 2nd shift team. This role is essential in meeting modern fastening needs across various industries, including automotive, industrial, rail, ship building, defense, medical, and agricultural. The successful candidates will be instrumental in providing fastener solutions for critical and standard applications.

Responsibilities

+ Learn to set up and operate Fastener/Screw/Thread machines.

+ Participate fully in the training program.

+ Learn to use appropriate measurement tools.

+ Learn to read and understand blueprints.

+ Learn to check parts for surface discontinuities.

+ Learn to weld wire.

Essential Skills

+ 3 years of experience in Fastener or Screw Machine operation (thread operator, roll operator, header operator).

+ Ability to set up machines, make adjustments, and troubleshoot equipment to produce quality parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Formax Machines.

+ Background in tooling (Die Setting, Tooling Tech, or Repair).

+ CNC setup experience.

+ Military background.

+ Experience as an Auto Mechanic.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean fastener company located in Utica, MI and the surrounding Heights area. The initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays and Saturdays. After the training period, transition to the 2nd shift, which runs from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Utica, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
