    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our tooling department. This role involves programming CNC machines using MasterCAM software, creating tool paths and cutting programs for Haas VF9 and Haas VF3 machines, and setting up machines to run these programs. The position requires both computer work and hands-on machine operation.

    Responsibilities

    + Program CNC machines using MasterCAM software.

    + Create and modify tool paths and cutting programs.

    + Set up CNC machines, including loading and unloading materials, and indicating vices and fixtures.

    + Collaborate with tool makers to address die needs.

    + Create new and repair transfer press dies.

    + Spend 80% of the time on the computer and 20% at the machine.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of CNC programming experience.

    + 3+ years of experience with MasterCAM.

    + Ability to set up fixtures, tooling, vices, and clamps.

    + Proficiency in performing program edits and modifications during machine processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in programming for tooling or transfer dies is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is located in a clean and quiet tooling department within a larger stamping environment that can be loud. The department operates on a first shift with a team of machinists, programmers, and tool & die makers. Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 5 to 8 hours of overtime on Fridays. The role is hourly with overtime pay at 1.5x.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley City, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
