    Job Title: Machine Operator (Must be open to OT)

     

    Shift: 1st and 3rd

     

    Schedule: M-F, 3am-3pm or M-F, 3pm-3am

    Job Description

    As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment to ensure efficient daily shift production. You will have the opportunity to learn and operate various machines, potentially supervising more than one machine at a time. The role involves managing multiple machine changeovers daily, aligning film, and working with linear feeders, baggers, Yamato scales, and combination scales.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure that raw materials and packaging materials used are correct according to product specifications.

    + Set up and operate machines effectively.

    + Troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed.

    + Upload packaging materials onto machines.

    + Communicate with mechanics regarding any mechanical problems and necessary repairs.

    + Operate equipment to minimize raw and packaging material waste.

    + Ensure production meets standard output rates.

    + Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and make minor adjustments or repairs as needed.

    + Clear away damaged product containers.

    + Inspect filled containers to ensure they meet product specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in machine operating and production processes.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and set up machines.

    + Experience with changeovers and mechanical adjustments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General labor experience.

    + Knowledge of packaging, inspection, and hand tool use.

    + Understanding of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to read schematics.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves working in a non-temperature-controlled environment where it can get as hot as 125 degrees in certain areas or cold depending on the product being processed. Employees will be handling a variety of products, including nuts and items with red dye. There is a strict policy prohibiting jewelry and acrylic nails for safety reasons. Shifts are typically 12 hours long, with day shifts running from 3 am to 3:30 pm and night shifts from 3 pm to 3:30 am, Monday through Saturday.

    This is a Contract position based out of Villa Rica, Georgia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
