As a Purchasing Analyst/Buyer you will be responsible for assuring the continuous supply and timely procurement of materials to our Distribution Center and Branch locations. You will research, evaluate vendors, and negotiate pricing and quantity to ensure the best profit margin for the company. This position reports to the Director of Purchasing and will work closely with other departments including Inventory Management, Accounting, Branch Management, and Sales.

In this role you will:

+ Purchase and maintain adequate inventory levels at Distribution Center and all Branch locations.

+ Responsible for all day to day prioritization of assigned product lines along with meeting corporate expectations. Always cognizant of purchase volume rebates and preferred vendor programs in place.

+ Create and maintain relationships with our vendors and manufacturer reps to ensure best in class prices and inventory flow.

+ Analyze trends in consumer consumption to determine which products should be purchased.

+ Communicate with vendors on invoicing issues and credits.

+ Responsible for PO expediting and stock returns to the vendor.

+ Maintain and ensure the accuracy of our costing matrixes.

+ Maintain the highest respect and relationships with CE sales team, managers, manufacturer representatives and manufacturer direct sales teams.

+ Assist in the Supply Chain/Inventory control aspects of the purchasing team.

What you bring to the table:

+ High School Diploma

+ Experience in electrical industry or in distribution/wholesale environment is desired.

+ Highly intellectual, excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

+ Strong work ethic and high moral and professional standards.

+ Experience in purchasing preferred.

**Work Shift and Hours:** Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, in office

**Compensation Details:** The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $23.00 per hour depending on experience.
