    We are currently seeking a **Sales Merchandiser** to support our **Long Island City, NY market** .

     

    The starting pay for this position is $29.00 an hour.

    Responsibilities

    The primary responsibilities will include:

    + Grow revenue by developing and servicing DSD chain accounts and small independent DSD customers within a designated territory.

    + Takes product orders.

    + Oversees the merchandising for both cold vault and warm shelves.

    + Expands product portfolio within existing accounts, ensures planogram compliance, and proper POS is visible and updated.

    + Adheres to pricing guidelines, and manages account information.

    + Follows all safety protocols.

    + This role is highly interactive and has a strong sales and service focus

    Specific accountabilities:

    Sales

    + Takes inventory and places orders for future delivery to avoid out-of-stocks and reduction of out of-date products. Upsells and increases SKUs where authorized.

    + Maintains a routine schedule, visits assigned stores at least one time per week. . 20-30 visits per day with avg order size of $125-$150

    + Develops all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation, and customer service

    + Solicits placement of equipment, sells sufficient product inventory, and executes promotions; adhering to pricing and promotion guidelines

    + Monitors competitive environment to understand and leverage sales opportunities

    + Solicitation of new accounts fitting approved ReadyRefresh target profileService

    + Responsible for regular merchandising duties at store level, which includes stocking and rotating product, placement of POS materials, execute resets, building displays, etc.

    + Merchandising store displays to ensure proper inventory, pricing, and rotation

    + Solicits weekly orders, utilizing tablet for order taking, and solicitation of new products. Ensure all paperwork and orders are filled out properly and completely

    + Maintains delivery information on all accounts and ensures DSD RSR is updated on changes or issues

    + Anticipates customer needs to maintain proper product inventories

    + Provides excellent service to assigned accounts; builds/enhances relationships with all customers.

    Safety

    + Follows all safety protocols.

    + Takes ownership of personal safety, and that of co-workers and the public.

    Qualifications

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    + Must be at least18 years of age.

    + Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation

    + Prior store sales or merchandising experience preferred

    + Good Verbal communications skills for face-to-face sales/negotiations

    + Must be able to perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    + Service-oriented

    + Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in different types of weather.

    + Ability stand for long hours, while interacting with the public.

    + Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks, start/end times could vary.

    + Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 45 lbs.
