At GE Appliances, a Haier company, we are reimagining the way materials move through manufacturing. As a Principal Systems Specialist – Materials, you’ll play a key role on our Central Materials team—championing innovative material flow solutions from supplier dock to assembly line.
In this strategic role, you'll blend deep process knowledge with cutting-edge system capability to implement technologies that streamline logistics, enhance inventory control, and modernize our supply chain operations across multiple sites.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Drive Systems Innovation & Optimization
+ Design and integrate advanced material replenishment and warehouse management systems (WMS).
+ Research and advocate for emerging technologies—such as robotics and drones—to support supply chain automation.
+ Partner with Digital Technology (DT) teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions across multiple manufacturing sites.
+ Support plant initiatives through Oracle tools and electronic Kanban systems.
Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor to Material Management teams and plant operations.
+ Deliver hands-on training and guidance for cross-functional teams.
+ Eliminate waste in the supply chain by connecting automation with production processes.
+ Oversee system deployments at greenfield and brownfield sites, ensuring successful launches from concept to implementation.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Required:
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field
+ 7+ years' hands on experience with manufacturing, logistics or supply chain including experience in systems
+ Previous experience with system launches at greenfield or brownfield sites
+ Demonstrated experience with material replenishment systems
+ Understanding of both systems and material management
+ Knowledge of Oracle, WMS and material replenishment systems
+ Excellent project tracking and detailed planning skills required
+ Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members)
Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science preferred
+ Master’s degree or advanced technical certification.
+ Creative problem-solver with a history of developing and executing visionary logistics solutions.
+ Deep expertise in Oracle, warehouse management systems, and automation technologies.
Travel:
+ Up to 30% travel may be for domestic and/or international travel to supplier sites/ plants, etc.
