    US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) is a dynamic and growth-oriented private equity backed firm focused on investing in and building physician-led anesthesia practices across the country. Our internship program provides hands-on experience with exposure to senior leadership, financial data analysis, presentation skill enhancement, and operational strategy.This is a part time internship position based out of our Maitland, FL office.

     

    Job Highlights

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly motivated Finance & Operations Intern to join our team. The intern will support the finance team by analyzing profit and loss statements, identifying key revenue and cost drivers, and preparing actionable insights to optimize financial performance across portfolio companies. In addition to this, the intern will work on a capstone project that will be presented to the executive leadership at the end of their internship program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world private equity experience, sharpen analytical skills, and contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making.

    Qualifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Analyze and interpret P&L statements from cost centers to identify trends and variances.

    + Diagnose and break down revenue streams and expense categories to uncover key performance drivers.

    + Monitor KPIs and performance metrics.

    + Support the development of presentations and reports that communicate financial insights and opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and physician partners.

    + Assist in ad hoc projects including clinical optimization, budget and forecast variance analysis, and financial other due diligence.

    Qualifications:

    Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

     

    + Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

    + Familiarity with financial statements and accounting principles.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

    + Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
