    BMO Bank N.A. seeks Specialist III-IC Development in Tempe, AZ to drive the overall software development lifecycle including working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, coordinating development teams and processes, and conducting software testing and maintenance. Translate user requirements into technical specifications, write code and support the preparation of design specifications. Support system design, provide advice on security requirements and debug business systems and service applications. Utilize algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements. Translate user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from user. Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components. Ensure that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements. Evaluate new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk. Follow release management processes and standards and apply version controls.

     

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation translating user requirements into technical specifications to design and develop software. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to conduct front-end coding; Performing version control using Git and GitHub to store, track and revise code changes; Utilizing responsive design to ensure that web applications adapt to various systems including computers, tablets, and smart phones; Utilizing C#, .NET, Java, and Python languages to develop code for backend website operation and functionality; Planning and building digital platforms with a focus on UX and UI design; Utilizing programming frameworks to repeat code and maximize efficiency; and performing testing and debugging to eliminate coding faults and irregularities that affect the functionality or security of websites. Hybrid position - 3 days per week in office.

     

    The salary for this specific position in Tempe, AZ is $134,294.05/year.

    Salary:

    $81,400.00 - $151,800.00

    Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

     

    BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
