    + Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Demonstrated computer software skills including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

    + Comfort around law enforcement training tools such as simulated handguns and rifles.

    + Demonstrated experience conducting experimental research.

    + Master’s Degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience drafting scholarly manuscripts for publication.

    + Experience with data collection.

    + Database management experience.

    Job Description

    The Research Associate position will be responsible for conducting applied research in support of ALERRT’s training curriculum. Most of the studies will involve testing aspects of law enforcement performance, decision-making, and skill retention. Tasks will include designing studies, recruiting participants, collecting data, conducting analyses, and drafting manuscripts in conjunction with ALERRT’s research team.

    Job Duties

    + Design experimental studies to test aspects of ALERRT’s training

    + Draft IRB protocols.

    + Recruit and manage participants for scheduled studies

    + Create datasets from responses collected during data collection.

    + Conduct analyses.

    + Draft scholarly products to disseminate findings.

    + Occasional travel to conduct data collection.

    + Other duties as assigned.
