    The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for supporting Global Revenue Accounting function in day-to-day operations, including working cross functionally with sales operations teams to review contracts to adhere to US GAAP and company’s policies, owning revenue month-end close activities, contributing to SAP RAR post-implementation activities, as well as performing various monthly and quarterly analyses.     This position is part of the Revenue & Technical Accounting and will be remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    + Review contracts in SFDC to ensure that they have been properly transacted by Contract Lifecycle team, and that all required attributes have been flagged before interface into Revenue Accounting & Reporting (“RAR”) add-on module to SAP

    + Own month-end and quarter-end revenue close activities including preparation of journal entries, processing of revenue subledger postings, reconciliations and internal reporting to Danaher

    + Partner with business organizations (Sales Operations, Order Management, Contract Lifecycle, IT, etc.) to streamline the Quote to Cash and revenue recognition process

    + Prepare SSP (“Standalone Selling Price”) and MEA (“Multiple Element Arrangement”) analyses for Cepheid revenue streams

    + Support post-implementation and maintenance of RAR module. Work with IT department to communicate business requirements and/or change requests, and execute User Acceptance Testing

    The essential requirements of the job include

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.

    + 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases).

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    + SAP / RAR or other ERP systems

    + Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    + Business Requirements drafting and/or User Acceptance Testing

    + Experience with system integration and knowledge of upstream/downstream data flow

    The salary range for this role is $80,800.00-$120,000.00 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

     

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
