    Job Summary: Psychiatric Techs provide direct care to adolescent and/or adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient(s). Psychiatric Techs have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient's safety on the unit utilizing a therapeutic approach to all tasks including assistance with daily living activities, facilitation of skill-building groups, assisting in the intake and discharge process, and enforcement of hospital and unit rules intended to keep the patients, staff, and visitors safe.

     

    Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field preferred or at least 2 year of experience working within the Behavioral Health field. Must maintain BLS and CPI certification.
