Description

Our client is looking for a UX Design Researcher (Level 1) who will be responsible for collecting user insights and data to identify problems to solve to optimize our digital experiences. You will work closely with the UX/UI Manager – Strategic Research & Discovery, cross-functional teams and other UX Design Researchers to identify research opportunities, run studies and conduct analysis.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mine Voice of the Customer feedback for potential areas of research.

• Prepare and execute strategic and tactical research assignments; recruit study participants, answer exploratory and foundational questions, uncover problems to solve and customer needs.

• Use customer behavioral data and business data to formulate hypotheses and gather insights.

• Distill data into compelling, digestible deliverables, highlighting the most important insights that help stakeholders better understand user needs, validate hypotheses, and identify high-value opportunities.

• Develop a deep understanding of our users and their jobs to be done; document opportunity and journey maps.

• Present insights to diverse audiences including leadership, core teams, and broader business groups.

• Contribute to and support research toolkit and learning repository.

• Stay current with the latest research methodologies, tools, and industry trends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ year of experience performing and analyzing user research & tests on a UX design research team for consumer e-commerce.

• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, surveys and interviews.

• An understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. Knowledge of information architecture and Web/mobile application usability design.

• Ability to sketch ideas and concepts to address found problems and outcomes.

• Experience with: MS Office, UserTesting, Miro and Figma, preferred.

• Case study showing how you conducted research that has produced insights.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a UX research or UX design-related discipline (i.e., human factors, information science, or related field).

• Strong organization, written/verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with facilitation (workshop preparation, virtual white boarding, etc.)

• Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, synthesize data, and collaborate with teams.

• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently, take and follow direction, organize, and plan your work with attention to detail to meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
