    Are you a motivated and reliable cook looking to spend your summer working poolside at one of Bar Harbor's most iconic destinations?

     

    We're hiring a Part-Time Seasonal Pool Bar Cook to join the culinary team at the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa, where you'll prepare fresh, casual fare for our guests enjoying the pool and oceanfront views.

     

    In this role, you'll be responsible for executing a simple, quality-driven menu in a fast-paced outdoor setting. If you enjoy working independently, take pride in your food, and are looking for a fun seasonal opportunity, we'd love to hear from you!

    This part-time seasonal position offers 20–25 hours per week, working Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, weather dependent. Competitive pay is $20/hour, and we're looking for someone to start immediately!

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and cook poolside menu items with speed and consistency.

    + Maintain food quality and safety in an outdoor kitchen setting.

    + Keep cooking and prep areas clean, stocked, and organized.

    + Interact respectfully with guests and team members.

    + Follow all food safety protocols and kitchen procedures.

    + Assist with restocking and daily prep as needed.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    + Prior cooking experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.

    + Strong time management and ability to multitask in a solo-cook environment.

    + Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working outdoors.

    + Must be local – no housing available.

    + Available to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 9 AM – 7 PM (weather dependent).

    + Immediate availability required.
