CTG is seeking to fill a Forensic Solutions Architect opening for our client in New York, NY.
**Location:** New York, NY
**Duration:** 18 months
Duties:
+ Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions to support forensic science applications.
+ Collaborate with forensic scientists, executives, development teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural solutions.
+ Lead the technical design of systems that manage forensic data, including evidence tracking, analysis workflows, and reporting.
+ Define system architecture, including microservices, APIs, databases, and integration strategies for forensic platforms.
+ Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and implement secure data storage and transmission for sensitive forensic information.
+ Oversee solution implementation, including selecting appropriate technologies, creating documentation, and ensuring alignment with forensic science objectives.
+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams during project execution.
+ Participate in solution testing, validation, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and accuracy of forensic systems.
Skills:
+ Proficiency in software architecture design, including microservices, APIs, and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
+ Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, encryption methods, and secure data storage for forensic applications.
+ Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#.
+ Familiarity with integration tools such as REST, SOAP, and middleware solutions.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt technology to specialized forensic requirements.
+ Ability to bridge communication between technical teams and forensic science stakeholders.
Experience:
+ Minimum 7 years of experience in solutions architecture, with at least 3 years supporting scientific or data-intensive domains.
+ Experience working in or with forensic science, public safety, criminal justice, or related regulated environments is preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience in delivering secure, enterprise-level systems with complex integration requirements.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
+ Master’s degree or additional certifications in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or systems architecture is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
