CTG is seeking to fill a Systems Analyst 3 opening for our client in Austin, TX.
**Location:** Austin, TX (hybrid remote)
Duties:
+ Analyze and understand business objectives and technical problems; identify and evaluate alternative solutions
+ Review user requirements and operational procedures to automate or improve existing systems
+ Conduct cost/benefit analyses and prepare detailed documentation on system functionality and technical processes
+ Collaborate with personnel across business units to determine data input needs, reporting formats, and processing specifications
+ Support implementation and configuration of infrastructure and development tools for a data integration hub
+ Develop and enhance SQL scripts, Oracle views, and materialized views to support a dimensional data model
+ Automate data acquisition and transformation processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center
+ Ensure proper validation and verification of ETL pipelines, SQL code, and output datasets
+ Work in an Agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
+ Enhance and maintain a Java-based web interface for Tableau dashboards
+ Design mockups and validate with stakeholders
+ Collaborate on data design strategies, testing, and continuous enhancement of analytics and reporting capabilities
+ Produce technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation to support development and operational teams
+ Address technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing processes
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
+ Proficient in Informatica (IICS, IDMC, or Power Center) for ETL development and automation
+ Strong experience in SQL development for high-performance, complex queries
+ Skilled in integrating data from multiple sources, including Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Excel, Access, and PDF formats
+ Solid understanding of data warehousing, analytics, and performance management systems
+ Strong technical writing, diagramming, and modeling skills (e.g., Visio, Erwin)
+ Experience in Python scripting for automation and testing
+ Deep knowledge of defect tracking, test planning, execution, and documentation
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools
+ Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills
+ High standards of confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information
Experience:
+ 8+ years in Informatica-based ETL development and automation
+ 8+ years acquiring/integrating data from diverse sources for Tableau use
+ 8+ years developing optimized SQL queries
+ 8+ years as a data analyst or in data engineering roles related to warehousing or analytics
+ 8+ years of technical documentation and modeling experience
+ 8+ years developing Python-based automation tools
+ 8+ years of quality assurance, including test case design and defect management
+ 4+ years improving automation frameworks and enhancing test coverage (Preferred)
+ 2+ years working with AI platforms or validating AI-enabled tools (Preferred)
+ 2+ years with testing and observability infrastructure at scale (Preferred)
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
