CTG is seeking to fill a Developer Java opening for our client in New York, NY.

**Location:** New York, NY

**Duration:** 12 months

Duties:

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications in an enterprise environment.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

+ Create and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.

+ Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.

+ Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.

+ Document technical designs, processes, and system integrations.

Skills:

+ Strong proficiency in **Java (6+ years)** .

+ Hands-on experience with **Spring** and **Spring Boot** frameworks.

+ Proficient in **PostgreSQL** or similar relational databases.

+ Expertise in designing and consuming **REST APIs** .

+ Experience with **Docker** for containerization.

+ Proficiency with version control tools such as **GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket** .

+ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience:

+ Minimum of 6 years of professional Java development experience in enterprise-level applications.

+ Proven track record of delivering backend services using modern Java frameworks and cloud-native approaches.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
