    CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer – .NET & Angular Developer opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.

     

    **Location:** Wilmington, DE (hybrid remote)

    **Duration:** 12 months

    Overview:

    This role requires deep technical expertise, strong experience in application design and development, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive complex initiatives. Familiarity with Institutional Financial Products—particularly Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs)—is highly desirable.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Lead and perform complex systems analysis, design, and development efforts

    + Serve as principal application designer for critical components and major modifications

    + Provide analytical consulting and leadership for identifying and implementing technology solutions

    + Direct and monitor tasks of less experienced developers on projects of any scale

    + Coordinate with Development, Operations, and Technology staff to manage full software lifecycle

    + Prepare and review technical specifications, test plans, and system documentation

    + Evaluate and document interrelationships between programs and interfacing applications

    + Develop technical assessments, estimates, and documentation

    + Ensure operational efficiency of supported applications

    + Recommend technologies, policies, and process improvements

    + Lead evaluations of vendor software and follow development standards

    + Maintain technical expertise and stay up to date with application and environment changes

    + Contribute to budget planning, employee performance monitoring, and internal control adherence

    Scope of Responsibilities:

    The Software Engineer III works under general supervision, capable of independently handling high-level systems analysis and technical development. This role frequently leads projects and mentors junior team members. It involves interactions with senior management, clients, vendors, and internal technical teams. The engineer may also represent the department in ad-hoc initiatives or committees.

    Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

    + May supervise and guide junior team members

    + May prepare performance appraisals and monitor employee productivity

    + May serve as a technical representative on committees or special projects

    Education and Experience Required:

    + Associate’s degree and 6+ years of systems analysis/application development experience

    + Or, in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including 6+ years of relevant development experience

    + Strong knowledge of application development platforms and personal computing tools

    + Demonstrated experience handling multiple complex projects

    + Excellent problem-solving, communication, time management, and organizational skills

    + Proven experience leading projects and mentoring peers

    Education and Experience Preferred:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

    + Experience with institutional finance systems, especially CLOs

    + Subject matter expertise in banking applications

    + Proficient in full-stack development and application integration

    + Experience working outside of BAU environments on strategic initiatives

    Technical Skill Sets:

    + .NET & Angular (or similar front-end frameworks)

    + SQL Server, Oracle

    + DevOps tools (Git, GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps)

    + Experience with software packaging tools (e.g., NuGet, NPM)

    + Knowledge of SIEM/log platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK)

    + Scripting (YAML, PowerShell, Bash, Perl)

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
