Description

CTG is seeking an Optical Technician II to perform polarization measurements of individual lenses using the Lens Element Optical Polarization and Retardance Device (“Leopard”) metrology station. This role requires precision handling of optical components in a molecular cleanroom environment and operation of custom optical instrumentation and software.

Requirements

• Work in a molecular cleanroom

• Handle precision optical components without damage

• Align components to rotation stage using mechanical indicators

• Operate custom optical instrumentation and analysis software

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s degree preferred

• HS Diploma or GED required with relevant experience

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in optics or manufacturing industry preferred

• Strong hands-on skills with sensitive/fragile equipment

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Coachable and quick to learn new tools and processes

• Able to work independently once trained

• Strong observational and analytical skills

• Familiarity with optical test equipment such as interferometers, spectrometers, lasers, and detectors

• Experience with optical system alignment and centering to tight tolerances is a plus

• Ability to analyze and organize data effectively
