    Position Title: Wine Director

     

    Reports To: General Manager

     

    Salary:$110,000 to $125,000

     

    Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus

    Job Summary

    Join the opening team of an exclusive private members club debuting this fall in Midtown Manhattan. We’re seeking a Wine Director to lead a world-class beverage program that reflects our culinary vision, drives guest engagement, and elevates service standards.

     

    The Role

     

    You’ll lead all aspects of the wine program, from curation and cellar management to team training and guest-facing service. You’ll work closely with the culinary and FOH leadership teams to deliver a beverage experience that enhances the menu, supports team development, and drives guest satisfaction — all while maintaining operational precision and excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Curate and manage a balanced, expressive wine list aligned with the culinary identity

     

    Oversee beverage operations, including purchasing, inventory, cost control, and compliance

     

    Provide exceptional tableside service and thoughtful pairing recommendations

     

    Train, mentor, and inspire FOH and bar teams in wine knowledge and service execution

     

    Uphold standards for storage, temperature, glassware, and overall wine presentation

     

    Analyze sales and performance metrics to drive growth and profitability

     

    Collaborate with FOH leadership and the Executive Chef on pairings, events, and guest strategy

    Qualifications

    2+ years leading a high-level wine program (fine dining or Michelin preferred)

     

    Strong operational, financial, and service acumen

     

    Excellent communication and team leadership skills

     

    NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred

     

    Proven ability to uphold standards, develop talent, and drive results

     

    Certification (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) preferred
