    Your Impact

     

    As a Senior Data Scientist at L’Oréal, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our research and innovation through data-driven insights and solutions. You’ll be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge methodologies in data science, analytics, and machine learning to drive impactful decisions and bring innovative products to market.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Lead and Execute Projects: Drive global and local data science initiatives across clinical, sensory, consumer, physico-chemistry, and raw materials domains, with a focus on skincare, makeup, and hair.

    + Strategic Guidance: Provide leadership in data science strategy, offering expertise on statistical methods, study design, and interpretation of results to support decision-making for R&I teams.

    + Community Building: Foster and lead a community of data citizens, promoting best practices in data visualization and analytics.

    + Digital Ecosystem Expertise: Deeply understand the US digital landscape; adapt global algorithms and tools to local needs, and identify new data science opportunities for US consumers and researchers.

    + Collaboration: Work closely with the global data science team to harmonize and standardize processes and tools, ensuring consistent best practices.

    + Knowledge Sharing: Regularly share insights and updates with peers, contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.

    + Quality Assurance: Ensure all statistical analyses and methodologies are robust, reliable, and aligned with the latest scientific developments.

     

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree with 3–6 years of experience, or PhD with 1–2 years of experience, in data science or a scientific field with strong statistical content.

    + Proven experience in machine learning or AI.

    + Hands-on expertise in R and/or Python, including development of standalone packages.

    + Deep knowledge of a broad range of statistical and computational methods (exploratory/inferential statistics, modeling, experimental design, clinical studies).

    + Experience with confirmatory analyses (mixed models, logistic/longitudinal models, survival analysis, parametric/non-parametric tests).

    + Familiarity with Bayesian analysis.

    + Eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

    + Independent and proactive, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    + Collaborative, with the ability to engage and lead cross-functional teams and communities.

    + Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

    What We Offer

    + Base Salary: $107,600 - $153,300 Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including your experience, qualifications, performance, and may also include merit-based increases, bonuses, or other incentives.
