    Responsibilities

    The Clinical Care Attendant supports providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes patient intake, vital sign collection, performing point-of-care tests, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to checkout. The attendant acts as a key team member, facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff while maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history.

    + Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed.

    + Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls.

    + Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol.

    + Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively.

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards.

    + Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Current Iowa certification as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA.

    + CPR/BLS certification required.

    + Clinical experience preferred.

    + Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with EHR systems preferred.

    + Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

    + Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
