Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Lead Transporter. As our Lead Transporter, you will be responsible for shift supervision and promoting a safe and efficient movement of all patients throughout the hospital. You and your team of Transporters will be greeting and transporting patients to and from all major ancillary departments using proper safety techniques and mode of transportation. If you are kind and take patient care at all levels as seriously as we do, please come join our team.

Job tasks and responsibilities may include:

+ You will act as a resource to the Transport Team, fostering a culture of teamwork.

+ You and your team will transport patients and their belongings to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.

+ You will assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.

+ You will greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.

+ You will collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.

+ You will orient and mentor new staff members.

+ You may even be called to do scheduling for your team.

Job qualifications include:

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ At least one year of related experience preferred.

+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.

+ Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ enrolled in healthcare courses preferred

+ Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

+ Current BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
