    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Under the supervision of the chief operating officer, the director of Facilities Management has 24-hour responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of engineering, plant operations, building management, construction and other support services necessary in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. Works within the hospital to establish safety programs and policies that meet all regulatory requirements including The Joint Commission. As the safety officer is responsible to assess, monitor, implement and evaluate all seven of the EC plans and maintains the hospital’s eSOC.

     

    Supports the HCA Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals.

     

    2. Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control Programs.

    What qualifications you will need:

    + Associate's degree in related field required; Bachelor's preferred

    + 3-5 years experience in leadership of Facilities Management in a hospital required

    + 3-5 years experience over seeing construction in a hospital setting preferred

    + eSOC- Must have working knowledge in NFPA 101 Life Safety and maintain eSOC documentation

    + Valid Texas Driver's License and clear driving record required

    + CHFM- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager- preferred

    + NFPA 101- National Fire Protection- working knowledge

    + HCC- Healthcare Construction Certification- preferred

    + Project management experience preferred

    + Strong people management skills required

    + Ability to cultivate a strong team required

    + Demonstrated strong understanding of joint commission and regulatory standards required
