Job Title: Traveling SuperintendentJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team. This role involves managing construction projects from the ground up, particularly for quick-serve restaurants such as Chipotle and Taco Bell. The initial projects are located in Whitetown, IN, or Champaign, IL. The Superintendent will oversee all daily construction activities on-site, coordinate with the Project Manager, and ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule. This position requires extensive travel across various states.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee all daily construction activities of the project on-site.

+ Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project progress and coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors and delivery of materials.

+ Collaborate with subcontractors to complete projects within budget and time frame.

+ Schedule utilities and inspections as needed.

+ Assess the work of others and make corrections as necessary.

+ Create detailed daily field log reports using FieldLens on a Microsoft Surface Pro.

+ Ensure and maintain a safe work environment according to OSHA standards.

+ Assist with finish work requiring carpentry skills, such as door hanging, caulking, décor installation, and trim installation.

+ Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.

+ Report to the Division Manager.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in ground-up construction projects.

+ Willingness to travel full-time across states from Texas to Michigan, Iowa to Ohio.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a superintendent, including knowledge and reading of blueprints and specifications.

+ At least 2 completed projects in quick-serve restaurant or retail environments.

+ 1 year of experience in a client-facing role as a superintendent.

+ Proficiency with technology, especially in using a Microsoft Surface Pro in the field.

+ Willingness to work some Saturdays.

+ Familiarity with fast-paced projects, typically 60-90 days in duration.

+ Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

+ Carpentry background is advantageous.

Work Environment

The role requires being onsite five days a week with the flexibility to work Saturdays if crews are onsite. The position includes traveling to various states, with accommodations such as Airbnb or hotels provided. You will receive a $60 per diem and $0.67 per mile for travel. A cellphone and a Microsoft Surface Pro are provided for your work. Enjoy paid downtime between jobs and holidays, including a week off during Christmas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
