    **As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer** here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge electro-mechanical solutions within the Honeywell Building Technologies – Fire Safety Solutions group. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing cutting-edge tools and methodologies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our design processes.

     

    In this role, you will impact Honeywell by driving innovation in mechanical design, enhancing product performance, ensuring design quality, and contributing to the overall success of our engineering projects. Your proficiency in 3D CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively manage the design process and deliver high-performance mechanical solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Design and develop complex electro-mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for new product development and existing lines.

    + Your expertise in mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that new products developed meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and prototype electro-mechanical products for fire safety solutions

    + Design and Development: Drive the mechanical design process, from concept, prototyping, design for manufacturability to production

    + Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and recommendations

    + Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability

    + 3D CAD based modeling

    + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and engineering

     

    _The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations._

     

    _The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates._

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

    + 5-7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, design and development

    + Expertise in CAD software, such as CREO, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA

    WE VALUE

    + Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME)

    + Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies

    + Proficiency in CAD based modeling

    + Experience with advanced mechanical design techniques and tools

    + Design engineering in electro-mechanical products

    + Experience with Team Center is of value

    + Stress Analysis _(Ansys experience preferred)_

    + Knowledge in Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

    + Experience developing new products or sustaining existing products
