Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing associates in successful plant operations while ensuring safety, quality, production, and customer requirements are met. The role requires the ability to lead and motivate employees by understanding all aspects of production, safety, quality, and customer requirements, and effectively communicating this information to all members of the production team. This position involves assisting with materials planning and logistics, reviewing production data, and processing data. The supervisor will oversee approximately 30 employees and will have support from the shift Plant Superintendent for escalated issues. The role demands spending 75-90% of the time on the floor, with the remainder at a desk located on the floor.
Responsibilities
+ Lead team meetings to communicate quality and production information, as well as general information from other locations/departments.
+ Coach and counsel crew members in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S, and quality to ensure compliance with company requirements.
+ Ensure clear communication of all production, safety, quality, and information to team members.
+ Actively participate in accident/injury investigations, including near misses, and resolve deficiencies with engineering controls and employee education.
+ Perform audits in areas of safety, training, and quality to support company needs, developing countermeasures as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ At least 2 years of production supervision or equivalent leadership experience.
+ Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment, preferably automotive.
+ Proven experience leading teams to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
+ Proficiency with Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical field preferred.
+ Lean/Blackbelt or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
+ Automotive manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Work Environment
The company is a Tier 1/2 source for automotive glass, including windshields for major automotive brands. The facility can reach up to 110 degrees in the summertime due to the ovens used in glass tempering and forming. Despite this, the environment is extremely clean with minimal dirt. The work involves strict deadlines and goals to ensure success. The shift runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with rotating days: three days on, two days off, two days on, three days off, and alternating weekend work. Candidates are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes early for preparation. Personal protective equipment, including steel toes and eye protection, is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
