South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, is seeking an individual to fill the position of District Line Supervisor at our Hillsboro, Ohio location.

The District Line Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, training and evaluating the activities of line workers, and enforcing all company policies and regulations, including safety and/or contract compliance. This role plays a critical part in overseeing, inspecting and accurately accounting for SCP standards and specifications with contract crews and ensuring the accuracy of contractor invoices.

Candidates should have experience in a supervisory position involving leading and motivating people in a team effort, developing plans, programs, goals and controls to measure results. The successful applicant must have the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with the capability to effectively teach, mentor and coach personnel. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of safety rules and regulations as well as possess knowledge of all types of line construction, maintenance, and service functions associated with plant facilities.

What the job requires…

+ A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Completed a line worker training program with at least five years of experience in distribution line work.

+ Leadership experience.
