Summary You will serve as a Transportation Assistant (Personal Property) in the Distribution Management Office of MARINE CORPS BASE. Responsibilities You will will perform household goods service counseling in support of United States Transportation Command’s Defense Personal Property Program. You will counsel service members, dependents, or civilian employee on shipment and/or storage entitlements. You will counsel the member on their allowances, restrictions, and steps needed to follow to receive reimbursement You will review inbound and outbound documentation for completeness, drafts messages or emails when necessary to obtain inbound documentation. You will receive and respond to inquiries from service members regarding servicing/booking arrangements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting and applying guidelines, regulations and/or instructions related to entitlements for shipping and storage of personal property; providing guidance on household good entitlements, processes, and procedures for relocation; reviewing completeness of applications for moves between residences; and providing technical support to customers in-person, via phone or electronic media. GS-05 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with interpreting and applying guidelines, regulations and/or instructions related to entitlements for shipping and storage of personal property; reviewing completeness of applications for moves between residences; and providing technical support to customers in-person, via phone, or electronic media. Education GS-5 Only: In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 4 years above high school, OR Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
