**Schedule:** On Call Only

-ON CALL ONLY: 5pm to 5am Monday through Friday

-48 hours on the weekend Saturday & Sunday

-Every other week

-Straight pay of $1500 per week of call

-$10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment

-$2,500 referral bonus

The role youll contribute:

Performs ultrasound procedures for the purpose of providing diagnostic interpretation including general, vascular, echocardiography and surgical procedures, assists with filing and reporting system within the department and registers patients as needed. Assists radiologist as necessary.

The value youll bring to the team:

+ Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications.

+ Explains the test to the patient. Instructs and assists the patient in assuming the physical position for examination.

+ Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.

+ Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

+ Selects a transducer and adjusts the equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth of field and other specifications of test.

+ Moves transducer, by hand, over specified area of the body and observes sound wave display screen to monitor quality of ultrasonic pattern produced.

+ Obtains permanent record of internal examination by photographing images of organs shown on the display module or removing the strip printout.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

+ 1-year vocational study

+ Internship/Clinicals with course of study

+ Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) & RDMS required

+ Current CPR certification within one month of hire
