    Job Summary

    We are looking for a work-study student to join our office staff and work behind-the-scenes to help keep our Theatre Department running smooth. Qualifications: MUST HAVE WORK - STUDY FUNDING FOR THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR . Please login to CIS and go to the Finance/Financial Aid section to view your Financial Aid Status. If you have not received a Federal Work-Study Award, then do not complete and submit this application. Before hire, this employer will confirm that you have received a Federal Work-Study Award for the current year.

    Responsibilities

    1. Receives, greets and directs visitors to appropriate person or office.

    2. Answers telephones, providing assistance and directing customers to the correct person or office.

    3. Processes and distributes mail.

    4. Creates and maintains files.

    5. Schedules appointments and arranges for meetings.

    6. Answers questions about the organization and associated activities.

    7. Assists with word processing, data entry and research.

    8. Maintains office equipment; arranges for service calls as needed.

     

    Employee’s will handle confidential information, new student files, room scheduling and extra projects as assigned. Employee will be responsible for a variety of assignments and must work well in a multi-tasking environment. Job will include correspondence with prospective students and University personnel and assisting students and visitors to the department.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Preferences

     

    High school diploma or equivalency preferred. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also preferred. Applicants must demonstrate the potential to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description Previous office experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required. Good work ethic, dependability and professional demeanor are a must. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, be self-motivated and must have excellent customer service skills.
