    Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) provides federal agencies and commercial customers with trusted insights into Records and Information Management, Administrative Solutions, Information Technology, Engineering, and Training. Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment.

     

    The **Engineering Technician - Electrical** shall provide electrical engineering services to support the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB).

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct field work, site investigations, and design calculations.

    + Prepare layouts/models, detailed specifications, parts lists, and estimates.

    + Design an idea or rough sketch of a desired concept into practical items of equipment and/or systems that can be economically manufactured.

    + Provide information on the required parts, including material composition, dimensions, electrical and safety characteristics, possible procurement sources, and cost information.

    + Produce workable designs from rough sketches or verbal descriptions that include, but are not limited to, electronic noise shielding; high power and high voltage design protection procedures; industrial process controls and instrumentation; and design of laboratory space.

    + Ensure that all tasks are designed for ease of maintenance, assembly, and reliability.

    + Assure designs and related engineering information shall be developed using the appropriate CAD/CAE software or Microsoft Office platform.

    + Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.

    + Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Associate degree in Electrical Drafting or Electrical Engineering.

    + Time in trade school or a related post-associate degree, college-level, technical curriculum shall be considered equal in lieu of degree.

    + 2+ years of electrical engineering technician experience

    + Experience with mechanical layouts, building modeling, rendering, and space allocation, including office layouts.

    + Experience drafting electrical elements and familiarity drafting electrical systems is required.

    + Must be U.S. citizen.

    + Background check required and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/NACI required to start.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Proficient with CAD/CAE or Microsoft Office Platform software.

    + Must have AutoCAD experience.

    + Working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences as required.

    + Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.

    + Ability to interact verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management on a professional level.

    + Possess strong problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work nights and weekends as required on rare occassions.

    + Travel up to 10% as required.
