Caterpillar Inc. seeks Embedded SW Sr. Engineer at its facility located at 2427 E Engine Dr, Chillicothe, IL 61523. Develop embedded and back-office software used to service machine & engine applications. Interact with all corresponding development teams to define software requirements and validation details. Develop concepts, design, test and promote new software features and processes; perform requirements analysis and decomposition; evaluate new languages, develop tools or processes; perform product maintenance; manage the software lifecycle through version control and configuration management and communicate technical information to stakeholders. Contribute to the planning and delivery of complex software projects by providing upfront design approach guidance to all software feature work, code review for software developed and support software technology development strategy and roadmap. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, plus 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1). 6 years of experience with C++ Programming Language; (2). 2 years of experience with PHP Programming Language; (3).2 years of experience with Javascript Programming Language; (4). 2 years of experience Linux software development using Eclipse and command-line; (5). 2 years of experience Unit testing experience with both C++ and PHP (PHP Unit). Ability to debug PHP, JavaScript, and Web Code Ability to administrate and troubleshoot Apache and Web Technologies. Telecommuting: 2.5 days/week.

Summary Pay Range:

$132,101.00 - $165,840.00
