Electrical Engineer

KZValve, LLC – Greenwood, NE

Summary:

This position will work with a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on product development and improvement with a focus on firmware development and circuit board design using a host of tools in our customer focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and review electrical drawings including wiring diagrams, printed circuit board layout, and electrical schematics to support active projects and existing products.

• Create electrical solutions for the Agricultural Industry primarily in the 12-24VDC space.

• Assist in prototype builds, testing, and production builds of new and existing products.

• Assist in the creation of technical documents to support products.

• Evaluate and troubleshoot electrical issues to reach root cause and present solutions.

• Communicate in a professional and effective manner.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Be a positive team member with a good honest work ethic.

• Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of the products and the industries KZValve serves.

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree from a 4-year ABET Accredited college or university

• Over 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to design and analyze analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.

• Ability to design, model, and optimize control systems, including feedback and open-loop control systems.

• Good electrical aptitude; Display ability in technical knowledge, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and active learning.

Preferred:

• Familiar with Ag Industry equipment.

• Experience with OEM driven development.

• Experience developing in C using IAR Workbench.

• Experience with PCBA design software, Altium or Fusion 360.

• Experience in micro-processor integration into electronic components.

• Experience with development using CAN bus protocols

• Knowledge of brushed DC motor systems.

• Experience sourcing components from the global distribution channel.

• Ability to manage projects including timeline, costs, and other deliverables.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively communicate throughout the organization.

• Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Able to perceive needs and work independently.

• Data driven problem solving approach including root cause analysis.

• Understanding of document control practices.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, exempt position.

• Travel: Less than 5%
