    The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining the AS9100 and ISO17025 Quality Management Systems and overseeing Production Quality across various process areas, including but not limited to: receiving inspection, welding, marking, machine shop, in-process assembly, final inspection, document control, and Quality Engineering. This position ensures employee performance is effectively evaluated through reviews, measurable goals, and development objectives. The Quality Manager also establishes monthly Key Process Indicators, reports on first-pass yields and trends, monitors supplier performance, and coordinates returns, rework, and improvement plans. This role chairs the Material Review Board and ensures timely dispositions and effective root cause corrections.

    Your day-to-day work may include, but is not limited to:

    + Manage daily reports for all functional areas, including punctuality, attendance, and general timekeeping.

    + Document annual performance reviews and establish clear goals, objectives, and development plans for team members.

    + Recommend and implement preventive actions at all process gates to reduce yield loss.

    + Partner with cross-functional teams and Manufacturing Engineering to drive scrap reduction.

    + Oversee daily final inspections of end items and resolve contract departures and concession releases.

    + Balance acceptance and release activities to meet revenue targets and maintain customer satisfaction.

    + Support and maintain all QMS requirements for AS9100, ISO9001, and ISO17025, as well as applicable regulatory and safety agencies.

    + Monitor and maintain Quality Records, calibration recalls, and MRB activity.

    + Ensure completion of contract Quality requirements, including delegation, source inspection, and First Article Inspections.

    + Ensure proper execution of end-item inspections and adherence to delegation programs.

    + Develop control plans in compliance with AS9103.

    + Coordinate training for department staff and maintain training records.

    Professional Qualifications

    + A bachelor's degree is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

    + Minimum of 10 years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years in a Quality Manager role and 3 years in a leadership capacity.

    + Internal auditor certification(s) preferred.

    + Knowledge of ITAR and Department of Defence regulations is a plus.

    + Familiarity with IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and IPC J-STD-001.

    + Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles in a leadership capacity.

    + Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading projects from planning to completion.

    + Working knowledge of budgets and capital expenditures.

    + Ability to develop practical solutions in scenarios lacking precedent.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Solid understanding of products, processes, and industry standards to support sound decision-making.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

    + Must be a local candidate.

    Compensation

     

    The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
