    What is the Job?

     

    In complete alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission Statement and Values and under the direction of the Mine Manager, this position supports the Western Mining Team Miner/Equipment Operator. This position will support many areas of the mines every day needs. This position will include manual labor and heavy equipment operation such as Haul Truck, Front End Loader and Excavator.

     

    + Follows all company and MSHA safety policies, procedures, and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others

    + Heavy equipment Operations. Haul Truck Front End Loader and Excavator. Drill and blast.

    + General Manual labor task related to mining activities

    + Provide support related to Fuel and Lubrication activity’s

    + Maintains work area in a professional manner

    + Provide assistance to other team members as needed

    + Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the business and operation as assigned

     

    What do you bring?

     

    + High school education or equivalent preferred

    + Effective written and oral communications, listening skills, ability to organize and retrieve information, and display adaptability.

    + Ability to work in a team and network with different functions

    Preferred or Desired Qualifications:

    + Previous experience in Mining and Heavy Equipment Operations

    + Drilling and Blasting experience preferred

    + Good reasoning/mechanical aptitude

    + Familiarity with safety programs in a Mining environment

    Working Conditions:

    + Rigorous Mining environment, with limited HVAC, exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes, and noise. Minimum of 40 hours per week with additional hours that are required

    Physical Demands:

    + Must have the ability to stoop, navigate rough terrain, and wear mandated personal protective equipment per areas accessed.
