Position Title: Road Crew (Millwright)

The Opportunity

The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This includes assembling and disassembling machinery, aligning and leveling components, and performing preventive maintenance tasks. Millwrights work both independently and as part of a team, often in industrial or construction environments.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

+ Install, move, and align machinery and equipment

+ Dismantle machinery for repair or replacement of parts

+ Use precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, levels, etc.) for alignment and installation

+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems

+ Troubleshoot mechanical problems and repair or replace defective parts

+ Erect steel structures

+ Fabricate, weld, and modify items in the field. (Transitions, hangers, supports, etc.)

+ Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other rigging equipment

+ Operate scissor lifts and manlifts

+ Adhere to all safety/food safety protocols, regulations, and procedures

+ Work with other trades as needed

+ Execute other duties as needed

+ Occasional shop work may be required

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma, GED, or similar equivalent education required (technical training or apprenticeship preferred)

+ 3+ years of experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic

+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

+ Experience with rigging, hoisting, and precision alignment

+ Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices
