Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking to add a CAD Detailer to its growing team in Kansas City. The Detailer will work primarily on electrical distribution line projects. Responsibilities include:

Red marking, engineering plans and conduit work with civil team

Effectively communicate and correspond with team members

Maintain company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures

Leverage expertise with CAD programs on design work

Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.

Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.

Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.

Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.

Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.

Skills and Requirements

AS or BS relating to Computer Aided Design/Drafting, or engineering

6 months - 5 years of drafting/design experience

AutoCAD (2D & 3D) CAD Certificate

Experience with MicroStation

Prior utility, electrical, transportation, or civil-related industry experience null
