The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Privacy Analyst to play a key role in CNO’s privacy program by executing defined activities related to privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance (including but not limited to HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, FCRA and cybersecurity regulation). The role works with other members of the privacy team to ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal regulations related to privacy, security and data protection, as well as internal policies and procedures. The role will manage intake and processing of privacy rights requests and privacy incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements. The Privacy Analyst will provide ongoing support to the Chief Privacy Officer by assisting with internal and cross functional projects related to privacy, data protection, regulatory compliance and risk management.

As a** **Privacy Analyst,** **your responsibilities will include:
+ Manage privacy team mailboxes and work queues, ensure responses are timely and fully documented.
+ Investigate, assess and fully document moderate privacy incidents including preparation of breach notification letters within required time frames. Under direction of other members of the Legal Privacy Team provide support for breach investigations, management and response in accordance with state and federal regulations.
+ Assist other members of Legal Privacy team to develop, implement, monitor and document corrective action and remediation activities.
+ Process and respond to CCPA access/deletion/opt-out requests; assist with preparation of CCPA access reports and HIPAA rights requests.
+ Collaborate on continued development and implementation of an enterprise-wide personal data inventory/mapping utilizing specialized software and technology tools.
+ Assist with the continued development, implementation, monitoring and documentation of CNO’s overall privacy compliance program including: training/awareness development; implementation and monitoring; privacy impact assessments; documentation of data processing activities across organization; privacy-related metrics/reporting; third party risk management; HIPAA risk analysis and risk management plans, and other team functions as needed.
+ Ensure privacy program records and documentation are retained in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
+ Perform repeatable regulatory reporting obligations in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
+ Develop expertise with privacy and information governance technology tools and frameworks.
The Privacy Analyst position** **is well-suited for you if you have:
+ Good knowledge of privacy regulations such as HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, PIPEDA, with a desire to learn more and commitment to achieve industry certification within 12 months of hire.
+ Ability to complete individual tasks effectively, work in a team environment, and be a strong self-starter.
+ Drive to learn new technology, software tools, and processes.
+ Ability to think critically and analyze a wide variety of complex problems.
+ Experience communicating clearly and effectively in both written and oral formats.

+ Adaptability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines.

+ Dedication to creating, planning, and maintaining team processes and procedures.
What you’ll need:
+ Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in information security, business or legal administration; or equivalent.
+ 3 to 5 years work experience related to data privacy, information security, technical audit or regulatory compliance in the insurance, financial services industry.
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Experience developing and documenting business process improvement documentation, gap analyses, and risk management artifacts.
What will set you apart:
+ Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
+ Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
+ Change management experience.
+ Experience working with RADAR.
+ Prior experience implementing and maintaining data privacy related tools and sufficient associated technical capabilities.
+ Willingness and enthusiasm for taking on and delivering new challenges.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.
All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically.
Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
