    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Data Management Lead to join the team of a top Oil and Gas Midstream company in the Houton, TX area. In this position, the lead will be leading a team that is specifically dealing with Drawing and CAD files. These tasks include checking drawings in and out from our Master Drawings Libraries, performing title block swaps, PDF from CAD creations, extracting drawing metadata, and running scripts and tools to edit drawing packages in bulk.

     

    The focus of the team is on automation and processes, allowing designers to concentrate on designing while the team handles the data.

     

    As lead of the Drawing Support team, youll spend half of your time overseeing individuals working with tools such as Excel, Aconex, SharePoint, OpenText, and DvTDM and the other half dealing with the work itself. In Excel, proficiency in building efficient formulas is essential. We regularly use VBA macros and Excel formulas to manage files and manipulate data for uploading into the different databases. Additionally, understanding bulk loading and creating bulk load sheets for databases (such as Aconex, OpenText, and DvTDM) is crucial. Quality, efficiency, and consistency are fundamental aspects of this role, especially considering the potentially high volume of drawings we handle each day.
