Our client is currently seeking a Safety Technician to join their team. As a Safety Technician, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) team supporting critical safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Safety Technician

**Location:** Johnston, IA

**Pay Range:** $25.00/hour

**Shift:** 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

What's the Job?

+ Support the EHS&S team with permits, inspections, documentation, and calibration or certification of equipment using established processes/procedures.

+ Assist in characterization, collection, transport, and creating profiles of regulated and non-regulated hazardous waste.

+ Help with the final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company policies.

+ Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance with company policies and procedures.

+ Collect field data and maintain/operate safety equipment in the field.

What's Needed?

+ Basic computer skills, including data entry.

+ Ability to be on your feet walking for most of the day.

+ Capability to perform routine lifts of 20-30 lbs. with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs.

+ Comfortable working with chemicals and within a laboratory environment.

+ Driving required for occasional assignments.
