Quality Assurance Manager
Industry: Manufacturing / Government Contracts
Precision matters. Lead it.
At Trident Maritime Systems – Custom Alloy Division, we manufacture critical components used in demanding industries—from naval defense to high-performance commercial systems. We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who’s not only an expert in compliance and continuous improvement but also a strategic leader capable of driving excellence across the organization.
If you’re passionate about building and maintaining robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with ASME, ISO, and nuclear standards, and coaching teams to deliver at the highest level, this is your opportunity to step into a role that truly matters.
What You'll Be Responsible For
+ Owning and continuously improving the Quality Management System, including the QA Manual and procedures
+ Leading and training a team of quality professionals across inspection, NDE, documentation, and systems
+ Conducting and participating in internal and external audits (you may also act as Lead Auditor)
+ Interfacing with customers, auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to resolve quality issues
+ Leading corrective and preventive action efforts, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation
+ Overseeing supplier audits, documentation reviews, and procurement quality control
+ Supporting continual improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and boost product quality
What You Bring to the Table
+ Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering (Master’s preferred)
+ 10+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally in a job-shop environment
+ Deep knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements:
ISO 9001, ASME Section III, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B
+ Experience with quality tools like:
Process monitoring, control plans, corrective action systems, FMEAs, DOE, and lean manufacturing techniques
+ Familiarity with inspection methods: dimensional, CMM, PT, MT, UT
+ Strong communication and team leadership skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
+ ASQC Certification and NDE knowledge are highly valued
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical & Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based but requires time on the shop floor in a traditional heavy-manufacturing environment. You’ll need to be comfortable occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs., sitting or walking throughout the day, and working in variable temperatures. We provide proper PPE, training, and safety support.
Why You’ll Want to Join Trident
We’re not a high-volume manufacturer — we solve complex, high-stakes challenges with precision and pride. You’ll work alongside technical experts and contribute directly to mission-critical projects for U.S. defense and commercial clients alike. Your expertise won’t just be appreciated — it’ll be relied upon.
Benefits You Can Count On
+ Medical, Dental & Vision coverage (Cigna / VSP)
+ HSA & FSA with company contributions
+ 401(k) plan with 3% match
+ Paid Time Off and 10 Paid Holidays
+ $200/year Safety Shoe Reimbursement
+ Prescription Safety Glasses Program
+ Voluntary Life and Supplemental Insurance
+ Company-paid Life Insurance
+ Employee Referral Program
+ Paid Training & Development Opportunities
