Wawa is looking for a **Product Development Associate – Food & Beverage** to support our innovation journey from concept to creation! What You’ll Do

As a **Product Development Associate** , you’ll play a hands-on role in helping bring crave-worthy Wawa products to life. You’ll support the Product Development team and cross-functional partners in ensuring our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and innovation.

• Product Quality & Monitoring

+ Assist in quality checks and documentation for food and beverage ingredients in our on-site test kitchen.

+ Track and document quality concerns and support resolution with cross-functional teams.

• Specification & Ingredient Documentation

+ Collaborate with Product Development and Quality Assurance to build, verify, and maintain detailed product specifications.

+ Support the entry and management of data in internal systems and documentation platforms.

• Sensory Events & Product Showings

+ Prepare and support internal sensory studies, tastings, and product review events.

+ Assist in first production checks, product portioning, and sample coordination.

• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

+ Partner with vendors, operations, and internal teams to ensure product accuracy and consistency.

+ Be ready to jump in where needed—flexibility, curiosity, and a team-first mindset are key.

What You Bring

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutritional Science, Culinary Science, or related field (preferred)

+ 1–2 years of experience in a foodservice, culinary, or quality assurance environment (preferred)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

+ Experience with ESHA Genesis or similar recipe/nutrition systems (a plus)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for food innovation

+ Excellent communication and time management
