Engineering Transformation Lead- Engineering Flow…
- Wells Fargo (Iselin, NJ)

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Engineering Transformation Lead to drive engineering transformation, reduce delivery friction, and embed reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement at scale.
As a leader in our team, you will lead the friction-busting initiatives and drive engineering flow, own the backlog of daily improvement enablers, and apply modern engineering and SRE practices to unblock flow, improve engineering experience, and build a culture of sustainable, high-trust delivery. This role bridges engineering, risk, and platform strategy, turning compliance into an enabler and resilience into a design principle
In this role, you will:
+ Own and prioritize the backlog of transformation enablers and process improvements (e.g., SDLC friction, Jira hygiene, manual controls), making work visible and valuable
+ Drive systems-level change across delivery and compliance bottlenecks
+ Partner with Capability Pods and Engineering Enablers to diagnose system-level constraints and co-lead change experiments to improve delivery flow, clarity, and adoption of governance
+ Apply Lean, Agile, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to reduce friction and operational burden:
+ Eliminate “toil” through automation and paved road adoption
+ Introduce SLO-style metrics for governance health, blocker removal, and improvement impact
+ Facilitate blameless retros and reliability reviews for failed changes or control misses
+ Co-create playbooks, service maps, and reusable compliance blueprints that make improvements stick across squads and enabler teams
+ Champion observability by creating dashboards and feedback loops on friction, flow efficiency, and compliance burden
+ Drive a cultural shift from reactive “hero” delivery to proactive, reliable system design and psychological safety
+ Serve as a translator and change agent across engineering, governance, and business leadership to align priorities with delivery reality
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 5+ years in engineering, platform support, DevOps, or SRE experience
+ 5 years of risk or controls leadership roles in large-scale or regulated environments
Desired Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated ability to lead multi-team transformations that reduce delivery friction, improve compliance, and restore trust
+ Strong background in Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery environments
+ Experience driving automation, service reliability, and system design thinking across functions
+ Proven success influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders with data, empathy, and clarity
+ Familiarity with SRE practices (SLOs, toil elimination, incident reviews) applied beyond operations
+ Experience designing metrics and OKRs for risk reduction, process reliability, and flow improvement
+ Working knowledge of SDLC, change governance, control design, and regulatory reporting
+ Experience coaching teams and facilitating retros, design sprints, or continuous improvement rituals.
Job Expectations:
+ Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
+ This position offers a hybrid work schedule
+ This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
